The self guided Wedding Road Show, is a Tour d’Amore that will allow brides along with their grooms, families, or wedding party an opportunity to experience all the benefits of holding a Destination Wedding within the popular resort area. Brides will receive a packet upon check in at three registration locations that will feature a map highlighting participating businesses and what they are showcasing. The Destination Wedding movement is in response to local businesses reporting a steady rise in bookings and requests involving weddings or vow renewals in the Long Beach Island Region. Whether it is on the beach, on a boat, or nestled in a garden, brides have discovered the unique charm the Long Beach Island Region has been casting on visitors for generations. The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce is seeking ways to make all the information accessible to brides planning a wedding in the region, this summer the chamber developed a site dedicated solely to wedding planning at www.weddingsonlbi.com and also prepared a wedding guide that lists members that directly serve the wedding industry. However, the official launch the chamber is taking will be Sunday, April 19, 2009 when the Long Beach Island Region Wedding Road Show will put the spot light on the businesses and communities that deliver the sensational wedding venues, sites and services that have developed the area into a premier wedding destination for brides throughout the country.
