Ellis Washington, instructor in the department of political science for Savannah State University, has been chosen for inclusion in the 2008-2009 Princeton Premier Registry.
 
Sept. 16, 2008 - PRLog -- Ellis Washington is an instructor in the department of political science for Savannah State University, Savannah, Georgia.  He joined the university in August 2008, bringing more than two decades of experience in constitutional law, judicial philosophy and critical race theory.  Ellis’ areas of expertise includes jurisprudence, legal history, legal philosophy, law and literature, first amendment, international and business law, feminist jurisprudence, law and religion and election law.  Prior to assuming his professorial role at Savannah State, Ellis was a freelance writer, lecturer and commentator for WorldNetDaily.com, a search expert for Xerox and a legal assistant at Warner, Norcross & Judd.  He also acted as a mentor to law students of Ave Maria School of Law and an adjunct professor of business law and contracts at Davenport University.  Ellis is an accomplished author whose Nuremberg Trials article was accepted into the Chambers Library of the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Bentley Historical Collection at the University of Michigan, The Jewish Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jerusalem and numerous other archives and private collections.  Additionally, Ellis has published books, essays and articles on political philosophy and political history, particularly 17th-19th century European and American political philosophy. His collection of poetic and philosophical essays received notice from poet laureate, Dr. Maya Angelou.  Ellis graduated from John Marshall Law School with a juris doctorate in law.  He also studied music history and theory at the University of Michigan and Harvard GSAS and delivered the peer-reviewed lecture, Musicians in Colonial Boston, to the Du Bois Society.  Ellis completed his graduate studies at the University of Michigan, earning a master’s degree in music performance.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in educations from De Pauw University, Greencastle, Indiana.  Off campus, Ellis is active within the community and his church, enjoys reading the Harvard Business Review and playing tennis.
