Follow on Google News | Etrog Sets: Arba Minim, Lulav, Esrog, Hadassim, and AravotThe etrog is a symbolic fruit, characterized by its beauty, fragrance, shape and texture.
By: Etrog Lulav http://www.etroglulav.com The etrog, lulav, hadassim and aravot are each representative of different parts of the body. Heart, spine, lips, and eyes. The holiday of Sukkot is yet another call to action for each of us to exalt and make holy the organs we use to perceive the world around us, and the influences of our environment. Hopefully, in turn, we will bring holiness to our actions with our spine upright as a lulav, our hearts as beautiful as an etrog, our lips and eyes spiritually lush & healthy as the hadassim and aravot; and this new holiness will enable us to shape our societies for the better, with impactful, sweet smelling and beautiful good deeds. The etrog is termed by the Torah "pri eitz hadar" -- fruit of a beautiful tree. Taken together with the Kapot T'marim, or lulav (palm branch), the hadassim and aravot, the assemblage of color and fragrance stuns the senses with a show of color and fragrant beauty... and the peace and harmony that collected nature brings to collective humanity. May we all be zocheh to spend Sukkot together soon. # # # Learn all about the arba minim: etrog and lulav, hadassim and aravot.
