2008 Pediatric Cancer Christmas Gala
The latest hot spot from former Jillys owner Stan Wozniak, The Joynt, teams up with Brad's Kids Cancer Toy Foundation on December 21st for the 2008 Christmas Gala. The event starts at 7pm and will feature live music, complimentary cocktails, food, and silent auction. Tickets for the event are $35 in advance or $30 at the door. All proceeds from the event will benefit Brad's Kids Pediatric Cancer toy Foundation. A 501(c)(3) charity that distributes toys to children being treated for cancer at hospitals and cancer treatment centers throughout Illinois.
The Joynt's owner, Stan Wozniak sits on the Board for Brad's Kids and was an intrical part of Brad's Kids toy drive two months ago at Crobar which raise 7,000 toys for children being treated for cancer at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Comer Children's Hospital, and Rush. "With out Stan, there wouldnt have been a toy drive. The liquor sponsor fell through last minute and stan took one from his own place to give to us for the toy drive. Not to many people would do that." said Brad Pogofsky, founder of Brad's Kids.
The gala on December 21st is excpected to draw several celebrities from the music industry and chicago white sox organization. Limited number of tickets are avaliable and proper attire is required. The event is sponsored by the Joynt, Playboy Golf, and the Literacy Volunteers of Illinois
