"Plant Music and Watch the Garden Grow" is Bridget's motto surrounding her Music Garden Series. A fierce defender of original songwriting (and current President of the San DIego Songwriter's Guild), she claims that "Every hit was a new song once." Facing a music industry that is often a steep climb for original songwriters, she has tailor made a creative series for songwriters that is artist-friendly and seeks to reflect the diverse international communities we come from. Having been on stages around the world herself, and having introduced more than 200 performers to prestigious local stages including her own music series at Humphrey's Music Club, she is thrilled to debut her Music Garden at Anthology, under the superb talent direction of Michael Pritchard who has brought many of the world's finest names in music to San Diego.
On August 19, Anthology's stage will sparkle with the musical creations of five remarkable singer/songwriters:
Whether you are a regular on the musical scene in San Diego or haven't seen a show recently, Bridget's Music Garden should number among your top entertainment choices. The owners of Anthology can often be found among the glitterati attending and the menu offerings are delicious from crab salads to chocolate custards. Anthology was voted "Best Live Music Venue and Restaurant 2008" and with recent performers including Ricki Lee Jones, Wynton Marsalis, and Rita Coolidge - and now Bridget's Music Garden - we understand why!
