After each tool is flash tested to 10,000 volts for 60 seconds, it promises to fully adhere to legislation for working near live conductor cables.

A white inner lining indicates whether the protective orange layer has been damaged making the tool unsafe near live cables and a specially contoured collar prevents the users’ hand slipping on to the steel blade. Each tool comes with its own unique test number which relates to a certificate which can then be sent to the customer if required. By providing such a simple solution, there is no reason why standard or unsuitable tools should be used in what can be a very dangerous environment.”
