FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Jun 13, 2008 – NU-LIVER®  RECEIVES APPROVAL BY CANADIAN NATIONAL HEALTH AGENCY

Samglo Enterprises is pleased to announce that its signature product, Nu-Liver®  Herbal Formula, has been awarded a Product License by the Natural Health Products Directorate (NHPD), an agency of Health Canada.   NHPD is responsible for ensuring that Canadians have ready access only to natural health products that are safe, effective and of high quality, while respecting freedom of choice and philosophical and cultural diversity.

Nu-Liver®  is a proven non-toxic herbal remedy that supports, protects, and strengthens the liver naturally. It restores overall health by using proven Chinese medicine principles.

To obtain a product license, Samglo Enterprises submitted an application to the Natural Health Products Directorate and was required to include complete data to allow NHPD to evaluate the safety, quality and efficacy of Nu-Liver®, when used as recommended.
[Natural Health Products Regulations: Part 1, Section 5].

A recent survey shows that 71% of Canadians regularly take vitamins and minerals, herbal products, and homeopathic medicines, -- products that have come to be known as natural health products (NHPs).   Health Canada responded to concerns by consumers for safe and effective NHPs by passing the ‘Natural Health Products Regulations’ in January 1, 2004.   All natural health products marketed for sale in Canada are now subject to the Food and Drugs Act, and require an NHPD product license before they may be sold to consumers in Canada.

Under these regulations, all approved natural health products will have an NPN (Natural Product Number) on their labels.   An NPN lets the user know that the product has undergone and passed a stringent review of its formulation, labeling and instructions for use.   The NHPD Regulations also require that natural health product claims be supported by specific standards, and that the products are made according to good manufacturing practices in licensed facilities.

Canadian NHPD standards are generally considered to be one of the strictest and most comprehensive worldwide.   Samglo Enterprises is very proud to have obtained this recognition from Health Canada for its Nu-Liver® Herbal Formula.
