Demand for Weight Loss Surgery Soars. BMI Clinic in Brno opens new wing for UK & US Patients.

May 9, 2008 - PRLog -- The BMI Chirurgie Clinic a specialist Bariatric and Mini-invasive Surgical facility, which works in co-operation with UK based Weight Loss Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery consultants Cosmetic Bliss, has just opened a brand new fully equipped Operating Theatre, High-Dependency Unit (ICU) and a 12 bed suite of well-appointed patient-care rooms in its facility in Brno, close to the Austrian border in the Czech Republic.

The new unit - officially opened on 28th March by the Regional Governor of South Moravia – has been designed to provide the highest standards of medical care and comfortable accommodation for patients seeking specialist Laparoscopic “keyhole” Obesity Surgery procedures.

Dr Michal Cierny PhD, is the Chief Surgeon at the clinic, a leading and very experienced Bariatric Surgeon and a specialist in these operating techniques – particularly Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy and Laparoscopic Gastric Banding. He said:

“Our new facility will enable us to meet the rapidly growing local demand for Bariatric Surgery, from here in the Czech Republic and from our German-speaking neighbours and most importantly the demand from patients coming from the USA and UK.
