comBATON Goal Pole Kicking Contest Announced for Longwood Tournament of Games

Feb. 18, 2008 - PRLog -- comBATON the Martial Arts Team Sport will sponsor a goal pole kicking contest at the Longwood Tournament of Games Saturday, February 23, 2008. The winner will get a "Best Goal Pole Kicker" trophy and $50.00 in cash.

Judging will consider, but not be limited to: the difficulty of the kick, execution of the kick, and grace of the kick, as well as the overall impression of the judges. The decision of the judges will be final.

The comBATON Tournament of Games will be held at Lyman High School in Longwood, Florida. Tickets are $7.50 at the door. The doors will open at 9:00 AM and the games will start at 10:25 AM. The public is invited to attend. Children's tickets will be available for a reduced rate.

Competitors in the kicking contest will have multiple chances to nail a great kick as the contest will be conducted throughout the day between games. The contest is not limited to comBATON players although many will participate.

Martial artists from the community are invited to participate as well. Participants should warm-up and stretch before competiting in the goal pole kicking contest.  Players sign a waiver to play and  need not sign another for this contest as it's part of the Tournament of Games. However, community members will be required to sign a waiver before participating in the goal pole kicking contest.
