Jan. 30, 2008 - PRLog -- It doesn't happen every day that a nation a mere four months old becomes a member of an important society of nations, but that's exactly what happened to Independent Long Island, a nation born on 20 August 2007.

It is also not an everyday occurrence for someone who never won an election to also become an "Honorable", but that too happened to the Most Rev. Dr. Cesidio Tallini, who in little more than four months since Independent Long Island's founding became the "Hon. Most Rev. Dr. Cesidio Tallini", as his name appears on the United Commonwealth Society Certificate of National Membership.

The certificate, which the Hon. Tallini received in the mail the other day from James Alcock, International President of the United Commonwealth Society, certifies that the nation of Independent Long Island is a full member nation of the United Commonwealth Society in good standing, and accorded full diplomatic recognition with a representative seat and full voting rights on the Executive Council.

The certificate also prefaces all of this by defining the United Commonwealth Society as, "The United Commonwealth of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Dominion of Canada, the Commonwealth of Australia, the Realm of New Zealand, the Union of South Africa, the Dominion of British West Florida, Independent Long Island and all territories pertaining to them."

The certificate is dated 3 January 2008, the date on which Independent Long Island became a Member Nation of the United Commonwealth Society. God Save The Queen!
