Santa Fe Home Builder Prepares Future Leader for Construction

Dec. 12, 2007 - PRLog -- Santa Fe, NM  – In effort to help those that will be leading the industry in the next generation, Chapman Companies, a Santa Fe custom home builder, participated in an internship with Brigham Young University- Idaho, to provide real world experience as part of the educational process.  Taylor Cardon was hosted as an intern to help in the company while he also learns about the industry and furthers his educational pursuits.  He began working for Chapman Companies on 27 August 2007 and will be completing his internship with them at the end of December 2007.  

Chapman Companies is a well established custom home builder in Santa Fe, New Mexico and surrounding areas.  They have been building in the area since 1966 and they consider it a great service to build custom homes for the people of Santa Fe.  They work closely with the customer from the start in the design process all the way through with follow-up after they have moved into their new home.  This design build process is only of the many elements that sets Chapman Companies above the rest.

Taylor Cardon is a sophomore at Brigham Young University- Idaho (BYU-I) and is majoring in Construction Management.  As part of his internship experience he designed new signs for Chapman Companies to help in advertising their newly built homes.  He also worked with many of the employees in the company to see the work that goes into producing the superior homes of Chapman Companies, which include both Santa Fe style and pueblo or adobe style homes.  Taylor is anticipating graduation in July 2009.  His plans include becoming an architect to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, Herman Elwood Cardon.

Taylor Cardon was hosted as an intern by Chapman Companies in a joined program with Brigham Young University- Idaho, this is part of preparing the next generation of leaders for the construction industry.
