OTTAWA (Canada) – WICKSoft Corporation announced today the release of the latest version of WICKSoft Mobile Documents, their award-winning mobile document access (MDA) solution for the  BlackBerry Smartphone from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM, TSX: RIM).

This latest version still allows users to securely view, email, fax, download and manage documents located in their office directly from their BlackBerry  in real-time– an essential offering to mobile professionals who need access to their documents and files from anywhere -  but now those documents appear in Full Fidelity.  No email attachments needed, no replication required, and complete security (integrated into your existing network).

“While more and more people use the BlackBerry as an alternative to the desktop, the issue of finding and viewing PDF’s, PowerPoint’s,  Excel,  and other documents in a way that they can be easily read has remained a challenge” said Will Hickie, CEO and President of WICKSoft.  No other company offers this complete and secure service to BlackBerry users. “For the past year we’ve been leading innovation in Enterprise-class mobile document access for the BlackBerry, and we’re really excited to offer this latest version to our customers”

“Expectations about the quality of the images and the speed of delivery to the hand-held devices are increasing.  WICKSoft now provides the only solution which offers secure real-time access directly to documents on the customers network and renders them in such great quality on the BlackBerry” according to Bruce Lazenby, Chief Marketing Officer.

“Using WICKSoft Mobile Documents for the BlackBerry you can view a document stored in your Windows network folder, a Novell shared drive, or on SharePoint.  In addition to the features we are famous for, like document viewing, email, fax, and file management, you can also download your file then transfer it to your laptop for editing.  WICKSoft Mobile Documents is great for travelers, lawyers, doctors, sales people, or emergency workers who are on the road a lot and need access to documents from anywhere” Hickie adds.

WICKSoft’s WICKSoft Mobile Documents utilizes two factor encryption, multi-layered policy-based security models, application-level access control, directory integration, and full Enterprise security management.  ‘We give administrators an unparalleled level of control over their mobile environments—nobody else provides the same level of security.’   The current release supports Windows and Novell environments, as well as various document management systems (including a tightly integrated connection to ACOM), including SharePoint 2007.

WICKSoft is a member of RIM’s BlackBerry Alliance.
