WICKSoft Corporation announces latest document access solution for the BlackBerry

WICKSoft Corporation announces the release of version 3.6 of WICKSoft Mobile Documents with major new features for enterprise users.

May 10, 2008 - PRLog -- OTTAWA (Canada) –  WICKSoft Corporation announced today the release of the latest version of WICKSoft Mobile Documents, their award-winning mobile document access (MDA) suite for the  BlackBerry Smartphone from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq- RIMM, TSX: RIM).

WICKSoft Mobile Documents 3.6 allows BlackBerry users to securely view, email, fax, download and manage documents located in SharePoint, Novell Teaming + Conferencing, both Microsoft and Novell File servers, WebDAV, and document management systems.

“We’ve brought so much of the functionality of the desktop over to the handheld, and we’ve forged many new partnerships to bring document access to other applications on the BlackBerry as well.   The integration is so complete that you can now send someone a link to a file from something like SharePoint, click on the link in your BlackBerry email, and open the document up almost instantly.”

This new approach gives users dramatically broader options for WICKSoft Mobile Document users. You can now:

•   Access links to documents in your email, just like you would on your desktop.
•   Access SharePoint documents directly and securely.
•   Access Exchange Public or Delegate folders for the first time from your BlackBerry.
•   Search your Exchange inbox for an item that’s 2 years old.
•   Access files on a network file server (e.g. U:, T:, Z: or and other common network drives).
•   Use Novell’s newest collaboration tool, Novell and Teaming + Conferencing, from the BlackBerry.
•   View documents in full fidelity, just like you would on the desktop.

“With 3.6 we let you access documents almost anywhere” said Will Hickie, CEO of WICKSoft.  “When we started, it was mostly access to file servers and common network drives like your  Z: and U: drives-- file servers-- but now we provide access to almost anything—even an attachment to a meeting in an Exchange folder.”
