The talks at these meetings are given by invited speakers from the Society, academia and industry and are intended to give useful technical information, hints and tips on a variety of topics in an accessible fashion with time for questions and discussion. The following is a summary of the talks to be given at this year’s “Good Picture 2007 – The Imaging Chain”: 22/08/2007 Editor’s contact: Emily on 0208 334 5751 For Immediate Release Page 2 of 3 Phurther Phantastic Photosites Dr. Graeme Awcock, University of Brighton This presentation will investigate some of the developments that are being offered by manufacturers that complicate the issue of answering the questions “how many pixels have I really got?” and “how many pixels do I really need?” Lenses for Digital Cameras Dr. Hani Muammar, Kodak European Research, Cambridge An overview of camera lenses will be given with emphasis being placed on application to digital cameras.
