Linkage introduces new digital care management

SPILSBY, U.K. - Nov. 1, 2023 - PRLog -- Linkage have chosen to implement a new IT system, called 'Nourish', that will digitise and improve our record keeping for the individuals in our residential homes, community supported living, and 'Choices' daycare.  It allows care givers and managers to record and to share detailed information with the whole team supporting that individual. This could also include other caregivers, families, healthcare professionals like GP's and health and social care commissioners (depending on each individuals' circumstances and mental capacity).

The Nourish platform allows recording of data at the point of care, improving accuracy and saving carers time. These records are then kept in a secure and compliant manner. There will be much less paperwork which means its better for the environment.

We believe this change will support our mission to provide person-centered services that enable individuals to develop skills and behaviours to live independent lives. It fits well with our organisations' core values of independence, teamwork, respect and honesty. Because access to information is shared, it will help us show compliance with the highest industry standards and will alert us if someone needs have changed. Nourish will allow Linkage to demonstrate care quickly and easily for regulators including the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted).

The system is robust, and will even allow carers to enter data "offline", for example if you are not in a Wi-Fi area or if the local Wi-Fi goes down. The data will synchronise when you re-connect to the network. Our supplier, Nourish, has been approved by the NHS to provide digital social care records.

We'll be able to analyse the data and identify behavioural patterns or activities that can trigger incidents. This will enable us to make safer decisions on an individual basis and improve the lives of the people in our care.
