New hope for people with Scoliosis?

ST ALBANS, U.K. - Sept. 6, 2023 - PRLog -- The standard medical approach to Scoliosis is observation, "watch & wait" to see if the curve progresses to the point of 50 degrees where surgery is then declared a necessity. Bracing & exercise at best are aimed at halting or reducing the speed of progression. Many patients believe that only surgery can reduce the curve.

Now there's the ASMI… Does this mean that there is new hope for people with Scoliosis?

Damien Mearns, scoliosis sufferer since childhood, and now a GoodBackTM Scoliosis Specialist with an International Client List, believes that there is hope for people with Scoliosis. As can be seen from the before and after photo his clients are keen on sharing with others, scoliosis can be dramatically reduced with a few sessions of ASMI treatment. Other complementary therapies used at GoodBackTM include pulsed ultrasound and EMS (Electric Muscle Stimulation), as these also help patients avoid an invasive surgery.

Damien believes that the secret is in looking at the back as a whole, analysing not only the X-rays and the angles of vertebrae, but also the muscle spasms that cause mis-alignment and other issues, such as bruised facet joins. Damien is following a protocol developed by Dr. Paul Sherwood, Harley Street Physician who treated various back conditions during his life, with immense success.

Damien's healing journey started with specialised Rolfing massage, that kickstarted the process of re-alignment of his back, de-rotating his ribcage. He then booked a few sessions of ASMI treatment with Irene Phillips, the first osteopath in the world to use the revolutionary ASMI device, based in Surrey, to see a significant improvement in Scoliosis, as well as his general wellbeing.

The ASMI machine was developed by top engineers and is powered by compressed air. Four pistons work in opposing pairs, stretching the ligaments that hold the vertebrae in the wrong position and stimulating reflexes that help the spine re-align itself.

The ASMI therapy attracts not only teenage and adult patient with scoliosis, but other back patients as well. On top of that, patients with other conditions, including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome can also benefit from ASMI sessions, due to the positive effect the realignment of spine can have, balancing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. The GoodBackTM regularly welcomes international clients, who travel to the clinic for treatment from countries such as USA, Italy, Germany and Israel. All international clients come with the hope of improving their scoliosis and often travel home with a very visible improvement, after just a few days of treatment.
