A task driven approach to model training in CanberraDynamic duo Tina Nikolovski and Jordan Martin established Models 101 Workshop a year ago with the prime purpose of training models and aspiring models in a way that supports them entering the modelling industry...
ACT, Australia - Aug. 8, 2019 - PRLog -- "Modelling is more than just about fashion..." begins mentor Jordan – a model and entrepreneur with 25 years' experience – "The main aspects of being a model are no longer based on aesthetics – many photographers and agencies look for diversity and versatility, and will often list attitude, punctuality, reliability and ability to follow direction higher than height, weight or hair colour. We focus on the practical aspects of learning for models whilst at the same time encouraging their individuality to shine and confidence to blossom."
Established Canberra photographer and Devojka Talent Agency owner, Tina adds, "As an agent and photographer – I look for models who can connect with their emotions and understand how to relay these emotions through the lens, as well as models who can follow direction and who are confident to move in a way that suits the vibe of the shoot. All photographers work differently; The workshop is a one-day intensive course based in Canberra and offers tasks about mind-set, movement and runway... The practical tasks allow models to assess their own ability, as well as improve in areas based on their mentors' feedback. "Models 101 embrace a diverse group of models. The workshop is designed with models in mind, however we do have people attend who just want to experience the day and want to boost their confidence for their blogging platforms, public personalities or enhance their performance skills."
