Created by Master Distiller, Douglas French, Sierra Norte Native Corn Whiskies are produced from different varieties of ancient, flavorful Oaxacan corn to make a series of unique, outstanding whiskies. Each of the Sierra Norte expressions is made from 85% native corn and 15% barley mash before they are aged for 8 months in French Oak casks.

Reviewed by premier whisky taster in Scotland, Johnny McCormick, Sierra Norte was distinguished as a leading Mexican whisky of the highest quality. With a 90- point rating, Sierra Norte Single Barrel Yellow was dignified as "remarkably impressive."  With an 88 point- rating, Sierra Norte Single Barrel Black was noted as "distinctive and highly promising." With an 86-point rating, Sierra Norte Single Barrel White was recognized for a palate that is "sweet, gentle, and refreshing."
