Liberty Cup signs agreement with Pro Rugby Agency for 2016
Rugby Promotions, Inc. announces new agreement with Pro Rugby Agency to work as its rugby sports marketing agency for its Liberty Cup rugby tournament held June 11, 2016 in New York City.
DENVER - Dec. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Rugby Promotions, Inc. announces new agreement with Pro Rugby Agency to work as its rugby sports marketing agency for its Liberty Cup rugby tournament.
The agreement, will run begin immediately for the 5th tournament held June 11, 2016 in New York City.
Pro Rugby Agency will act as global consultants to Liberty Cup Tournament and will help with sales in key markets across the United States and market the tournament globally.
The tournament is played to honor our ruggers who have sacrificed for American Liberty relating to the tragedy on 9/11/01. The tournament offers 15 a side for the men’s division. In the women’s division both 7s and 15 a side competitions will be held.
The Liberty Cup will be expanding to a 12 team format in 2016. The tournament is open to global participants and this year the Army Rugby Union (women) will be competing.
As part of the agreement is a strategic partnership with National Rugby Post and Liberty Cup. The partnership will help Liberty Cup to reach and connect with new audiences. National Rugby Post will include in-depth coverage of Liberty Cup, tournament news, coverage and digital support of the tournament for 2016.

About Rugby Promotions and Liberty Cup
The Liberty Cup (15s) Rugby tournament is a biennial rugby tournament, played every two years since 2012. This tournament is played to honor our ruggers who have sacrificed for American Liberty relating to the tragedy on 9/11/01. The original tournament was played in 2007 with the New York Police Department and Bragg R.F.C. In 2009 it grew to include the Fire Department of New York and Camp Le Jeune Marine Base.
The 2014 Liberty Cup was attended by 8 men's team and 8 women's team in 2014. London Metro Police lifted the Cup in the men's division, while the lady Gypsy team took home the top merit in the women's competition. We look to continued expansion in 2016.
Part of the proceeds of the tournament go to Hope For The Warriors®. Hope For The Warriors® mission is to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty. Hope For The Warriors® is dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families. Liberty Cup will be played at Aviator Sports Complex, www.aviators.com, in New York City June 11,2016. The men's bracket is 15 a side exclusive to military, police, fire, Department of Defense, and security guards. A women’s bracket is open to any 7s or 15s teams. NEW THIS YEAR Old Boys bracket!! Entry fee is $500 per team.
Rugby Promotions Inc was founded in 2010 by Dr. Johnathan Tinsley. Dr. Tinsley was past President, Vice President, Match Secretary and Social Chair for the Bragg RFC. Tinsley Helped organize the Airborne 7s Invitational from 2004- 2010 and the North Carolina State Rugby Tournament in 2002-2003.
