Discoverii 3000 can detect human threats at 8,000 meters during the day and 3,000 meters in total darkness providing 24/7 coverage. Discoverii utilises a 1/3” CCD combined with a 60x zoom from 12.5mm to 750mm or 25mm to 1500mm with the x2 extender. This allows very long perimeters to be monitored with fewer cameras reducing ownership costs. The laser illumination horizontal field of view can be varied from 4 to 0.4 degrees to ensure you get the best possible video from long ranges. The Pan Tilt provides variable speed up to 60 degrees per second and accuracy to 0.0064 degrees using micro step features. The units are available in IP65 or IP66 housings and also offer extended temperature ranges. Video output is RS170, control and serial control is via RS422. Protocols offered include Pelco D, ICD-100 American Dynamics or IP. A SDK is available to allow integration to other systems such as radar, fence, motion and seismic sensors. A thermal add-on imager is also available. The unit provides natural contrast detail by day and night assisting in the identification of intruders. The system enables reading text and numbers in total darkness providing covert surveillance at all times. It has the advantage of being able to see through glass which is a problem for thermal imagers allowing vision into cars and other transport systems.
