True North Recovery Services Intensive Outpatient is Expanding! New location in Encinitas, CA! True North Recovery Services is North San Diego's premier outpatient drug and alcohol treatment provider. We have moved our location to expand services.

It is with great excitement that True North Recovery Services makes this announcement. Following Memorial Day Weekend, we will be opening our new location at 519 Encinitas BLVD, Suite 104, in Encinitas, CA. North San Diego County has long needed adequate intensive outpatient services that meet the standards of quality our patients deserve. True North has been providing this level of professional service since last year and has been met with a demand and an outcry from the local community for more!
As a result, we have expanded our offices and will now be operating out of Encinitas, CA so that we can better accommodate the needs of our patients. Please let us thank all of you for your support as we build toward our vision. True North has been a dream of mine for a long time and while there is still distance to my dreams, I am pleased to say that the foundation is strong and we have the wind at our backs.
Just this week we graduated two people on our last day at the Carlsbad location. One has returned to the field of addiction treatment themselves as a therapist in another program and the other one has returned to work with children and has regained custody of their own. It was a magic day as we celebrated their success and said goodbye to the old group room. The energy of the facility has been that of safety and trust and we are are discovering that good treatment can be done here locally and that it can remain affordable.
For those who are unfamiliar, we do accept most PPO insurance plans and have affordable cash rates for our private pay patients. In addition to therapy services, we are also equipped to provide psychiatric services. Our medical Director Valeh Karimkhani, D.O. is a double board certified psychiatrist with board certifications in both addiction medicine and in general psychiatry. She also serves as the Chief of Psychiatry at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach and Irvine, CA. In addition we also employ a Psychiatric PA Nelae DeChurch who is supervised by Dr. K. . Having a highly qualified medical staff has enabled us to perform interventions such as Vivtrol, an injectable form of Naltrexone that aids in the reduction of alcohol cravings and acts as a blocker for opiate use. Opiate addicts cannot get high for thirty days following a Vivtrol injection. In addition to the medical staff, True North is lead by Kansas Cafferty, an experienced addiction professional who is trained in EMDR among several other types of therapy. He and Linda Burdett do most of the primary therapy at the facility. Linda is an expert at relapse prevention techniques and has a gentle and direct style that our patients have come to love and enjoy. Dr. Meghan Marcum, our psychologist can also perform psychological testing and has constructed our Brain Wellness Education Curriculum.
True North also enjoys several relationships in the area with high quality sober living homes, treatment centers, and detoxification programs with whom we work closely. We welcome collaboration with outside consultants and do our utmost to be consistently available to the other professionals who work with our patients so that no one falls through the cracks, or coasts through without getting the help they need.
