Hybrid Work Models Set to Prevail in Employee Preferences in 2024 and Beyond | TimeFlip study

POZNAŃ, Poland - Dec. 14, 2023 - PRLog -- TimeFlip, a developer of an innovative time and productivity tracking device, releases key findings from its recent survey, indicating an apparent trend towards the prevalence of hybrid work models for knowledge industries professional in 2024 and beyond.

The COVID-19 pandemic propelled a global shift to fully remote work, showcasing adaptability of the majority of businesses. As restrictions eased, some returned to offices, but a substantial workforce opted for a hybrid model. Recognising the newfound flexibility and work-life balance, employees embraced a mix of remote and in-office work. Three years into the remote-work revolution, studies consistently indicate that flexible work arrangement is attractive for the employees as they are willing to forego about 8% in annual pay for a job that is partly or fully remote. Remote workers in the US report saving $5,000-10,000 a year on average because of the significantly reduced daily transportation and meal expenses.

This rationale  finds complete validation in TimeFlip's recent survey, which collected feedback from over 3000 of their client pool, consisting of knowledge industry workers. Thus, it revealed that 74% of respondents have already embraced either hybrid or fully remote work models. Within the cohort of professionals still engaged in on-premise work arrangements, the TimeFlip survey unveils another trend — 64% express a willingness to transition towards more flexible schedules. The findings affirm that professionals in knowledge-based sectors increasingly prioritize autonomy and a balanced work-life dynamic. The respondents also underlined major challenges associated with remote work, such as  concerns about communication and team collaboration. This perspective makes hybrid models more beneficial and secure for the businesses to maintain a cohesive company culture, compared to fully remote.
