But, as the first wave ended and the gyms were reopened once again, there was an unprecedented demand for gym equipment and sports goods as well. However, the second wave has forced the sports complexes and gyms to be shut down once again."

Since Meerut is a hub of cricket balls, bats, and other sports goods, companies like SST Sports that supply goods to the domestic market and export products to other nations are quite concerned. "We will not have enough funds to continue paying our staff members and keep the business up & running if the situation persists this year as well. Currently, most factories are operating with just 25% of their capacity due to the pandemic, which is directly affecting the revenues and business.
