What makes VJIM, Hyderabad's Chrysalis to be Hyderabad's favorite Management fest every year?

 
HYDERABAD, India - Nov. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- VJIM, Hyderabad hosted its marquee event Chrysalis 2016 amidst much fanfare and with a huge dollop of enthusiasm recently. The two days' annual college fest held on 18th and 19th November brought together over 700 students from colleges in and around the city. They put their best step forward not only to win prestigious events during the fest but also simply to make the most of the opportunity to bond with fellow students, which made the event a roaring success.

You could get a sense of things to come as soon as the registrations for different events began on Day 1. Students from colleges like Shiva Shivani Institute of Management, IPE, HBS, PIM made a beeline for the registration counter to participate in different events. The activities itself were divided between Formal and Informal events. Over two days students fought tooth and nail in different categories while still managing to have a good time with their contemporaries.

Peter F Drucker All India Debate and C K Prahalad All India Quiz were of course the major attractions for the event. Besides bragging rights huge cash prizes were to be won for these events. While the winner, first and second runner up in the Quiz competition won Rs. 25,000, Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively, Debate competition winners went home with Rs. 20,000, Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 for the top three positions.

Fin Funda (Finance), Optimops (Operations), Markstreet (Marketing), HR Hunt and the Big Biz idea were the formal events Chrysalis 2016 and they tested participants' understanding of management concepts. Music competition, dance competition, photography event, rampage and the treasure hunt were the five informal events that brought high energy to the fest. Participants were vociferously supported by their fellow college mates, which added to the atmosphere.

In fact, Chrysalis 2016 kept up the high tempo right from the moment when Mr. Durga Prasad, Director, VJIM declared the event upon till the brilliant finale. Along with the competitions students from various colleges could get a taste of local culture and vibe through stalls that were set up during the event. Students had also organized games, which drew large crowds and raised the fun element of the fest by a few notches.

Geetha Madhuri, renowned singer and Vijay Devarakonda, upcoming actor, both from Tollywood industry, were the star attractions for the closing ceremony. They encouraged the participants to perform better and rooted for their favorites. But the fest would not be complete without music reverberating in the air. The task to get students grooving was left to the local band "3 Of Us" and they made sure everyone was on their feet, swaying to the beat.

Chrysalis 2016 ended with the prize distribution ceremony where worthy winners were applauded by students from different colleges with equal vigor. In many ways that encapsulated the mood of the event, which brought students closer, bonded by memories they shared over the course of two days. Their enthusiasm along with the efforts of the organizing committee members had ensured that the event would be remembered for a long time to come.
