By: TMC - Conferences & Exhibitions The region’s first ever GCC WAREHOUSING EFFICIENCY WORKSHOPS will be held in Dubai during January. Leading international consultants Frost & Sullivan are endorsing the event, as well as making a key presentation to delegates. The WORKSHOPS will be held at Dubai’s Media Rotana Hotel in Al Barsha on January 18-19, 2016. They mark the first regional initiative focussed on advanced techniques and strategies that will keep companies ahead of their competitors, according to organisers TMC. This intensive closed-door masterclass event will host regional and international experts and decision-makers – highlighting the remarkable innovations being implemented in warehousing around the globe and increasingly across the region. Frost & Sullivan’s Mansoor Kidwai, Senior Consultant for the firm’s GCC Transportation and Logistics Practice, comments: “The warehousing business accounts for about 25% of the logistics market and forms the central part of supply chain and logistics.” He adds: “The growing need for improved regional distribution capabilities places warehousing as a top priority for supply chains across the Middle East." Mr Kidwai will make the Keynote Presentation at the Workshops on “Big Data Applications in Logistics” – what Frost & Sullivan regard as the ‘hot topic’ in improving GCC warehousing standards and service at the present time. Attendees already registered include a delegation from DP World plus Directors and Managers from Savola, Obeikan-Elopak, Edinpaco, MCM Spectrum, Alyasra Foods, Alesayi Beverages, Vita, Dnata and the Emirates Cooperative Society. “We’re expecting many more to join them,” says Workshops Leader Jamal Tariq, Middle East Logistics Manager for Reckitt Benckiser. “The Workshops feature advanced techniques and strategies which will measure, and improve, the warehousing bottom line for all participants. “They will emphasize issues that constantly arise in our environment such as Governance for Third Party Logistics Providers. (3PLs), Performance Management, Continuous Improvement and Cost Control.” The 2016 WAREHOUSING EFFICIENCY WORKSHOPS have been specifically designed for C-Level Executives, Heads, Managers, and Executives who handle Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chains, and Operations.
