Tytho Expands, adding Transfer Pricing to its Bevy of Offerings

In line with the vision of making tax automation work for their clients, Tytho today announced an expansion of its business, and will now combine transfer pricing, indirect tax and IT expertise in one firm.

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands - Oct. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- “Transfer pricing has gotten a bad reputation in recent years, with frustrated governments working public sentiment to help push for global International tax reform. Multinational companies and transfer pricing advisors have been viewed as opportunistic. The BEPS initiative, however, hopes to bring tax out of the dark. Although unintended, it’s unavoidable that the BEPS initiative will increase the workload of tax and finance functions, and those companies who lag behind will find themselves in a disadvantageous position. The tax journey of the future requires automation, whether it involves digital workflows, modular transfer pricing documentation, or financial tools for profitability tracking and transfer pricing accounting,” says Tytho Transfer Pricing Managing Partner Monica Erasmus.

“Transfer Pricing and Indirect Tax have a strong relationship together. Often we experience that clients have not considered the consequences of one versus the other, especially when it comes down to ERP implementations and business processes. Both are transaction based disciplines and the combination of our skillset is unique in the market. Technology is growing exponentially and will disrupt the professional services market. It is our strategy to create innovative solutions and work with those of our partners to keep our clients competitive when it comes down to Tax automation,” adds Tytho Managing Partner Eliza Alberts-Muller.

About Monica

She has worked extensively in multi-competency teams on transformation projects, responsible for the design and implementation of the integrated Tax/TP solutions with the business/finance and ERP solutions. This has given her the opportunity to gain in-depth delivery experience in tax and transfer pricing structuring and implementation, as well as to understand and appreciate the real practical issues business, finance and IT are struggling with in order to accommodate transfer pricing reporting and compliance.

Her educational background is rooted in charted accountancy (South Africa) and fiscal economy (Erasmus University, Rotterdam). In a regulatory world where taxation is far more focused on economic activity and robust reporting, this combination has proven to be extremely helpful to a number of multinationals. Twenty years of big four experience (17 years in the Netherlands), of which 4 years accounting and 16 years tax consulting.
