July 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Cannon Technologies (http://www.cannontech.co.uk/), the international leader in innovative containment systems, is celebrating after once again being recognised by BDO LLP (http://www.bdo.co.uk/news/the-central-south-mid-market-going-global), the accountant and business adviser, as one of central south of England’s top 20 companies for growth in overseas turnover. This marks the second year in succession that the company has received this accolade and highlights Cannon Technologies’ firmly established presence on the international stage.

With a 37-year pedigree, Cannon Technologies’ products and systems are used throughout the burgeoning data centre and IT network infrastructure industries. The award winning T4 Data Centre Solutions (http://www.cannontech.co.uk/modular_buildings.html) are employed around the globe in organisations of all sizes, and the company also designs, supplies, integrates and commissions the IT architecture for military and commercial applications for mission critical projects. With headquarters in New Milton, Hampshire, it has regional offices in the Middle East (Dubai), Africa (Johannesburg) and the USA (Ashburn, Virginia), as well as local country representatives around the world.

BDO analysed companies with sales between £10m-£300m as part of its Central South Mid Market focus and identified 20 companies that have achieved significant international growth over the last three years. Kim Hayward, international liaison partner at BDO in Southampton, explained, ‘Sustaining UK growth in the long-term will rely on how well the nation can take advantage of international opportunities. Cannon Technologies is a great example of a business that is leading the charge towards global growth.’

According to research carried out by BDO, mid-sized businesses account for 75 per cent of UK exports and are responsible for 25 per cent of all private sector employment. Even though they make up less than one per cent of all UK firms, they export products and services valued at £70bn of the UK total of £300bn. These businesses make a huge contribution to the nation’s economy, as 31,000 firms account for over 6.2 million jobs, £1 trillion each year in turnover, and 28 per cent of gross value added (GVA) contributions.

Cannon Technologies has used a consistent programme of innovation and territorial expansion to retain its market position and achieve growth across the world. The company’s product range is widely respected and it has appeared on the CRN Data Center 100 list, which recognises those technology vendors that power, support and protect today’s data centre services in an environmentally and economically friendly manner, while boosting efficiency and productivity.

‘On behalf of my hardworking colleagues around the world, I’m delighted that we have again been recognised as one of the central south of England’s top 20 companies for growth in overseas turnover,’ commented Matthew Goulding, managing director at Cannon Technologies. ‘A commitment to innovation and worldwide growth is at the heart of everything we do. Furthermore, our unique approach of working with regional partners and ensuring that customers receive local country staff support that is backed up with global resources, has enabled us to become one of the most respected suppliers of data centre products, systems and services.’
