ESMOD Dubai, students design 7creative leather garments & accessories for Leatherworld Middle East

DUBAI, UAE - April 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Leather is one of the world’s most widely traded commodities. The global trade in leather and leather products is worth more than $60bn per year.

3-years-program students of a renowned French Fashion Institute – Esmod Dubai were invited to take part in a creative project, where they designed garments, as well as accessories, using various types of leather offered to students by "Messe Frankfurt Leatherworld" organizers.

At Esmod Dubai, texture of fabrics or leather are extremely important. Choice & manipulation is part of the program & a great way to add detail to accessories, garments and provide an interesting challenge for design.

The result is a range of unique interpretations of leather. Each of the students represents an individual approach, creating provocative and challenging pieces as a result of a mix of traditional techniques, leather manipulation and cutting edge technology.

The chosen works prove that leather is a highly versatile material, easily transformative according to the maker’s personal taste and artistic view.

The mini collection of ESMOD Dubai will be displayed in the Fashion Avenue of Leatherworld Middle East 4-6^th of May, in the World Trade Center Dubai, illustrating the Gulf region’s young generation love of luxury goods and everlasting leather trend.
