Altiux announces availability of its Internet of Things (IoT) protocol stacks for constrained devices

BENGALURU, India - Dec. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Altiux, a global innovation and technology services company, today announced commercial availability of their BoXPwrTM Nano and BoXPwrTM Pico  IoT protocol stacks designed for use in constrained environments.  These BoXPwrTM protocol stacks are available for licensing along with technology services to semiconductor companies, device manufacturers and OEMs developing IoT solutions.

Connectivity middle ware that addresses the challenges of securely connecting and managing devices in constrained environments is key to making the Internet of Things possible. “IoT is at an inflexion point and getting solutions to market first is important to our customers, BoXPwrTM helps accelerate IoT solution development. Devices ranging from small industrial sensors, wearable devices to customer goods like washing machines will be part of the 20 billion devices that are expected to connect to the internet by 2020. To enable connectivity, manageability and security of these eclectic mix of devices BoXPwrTM is made available in four variants; BoXPwrTM  Standard, BoXPwrTM  Micro, BoXPwrTM Nano and  BoXPwrTM  Pico. The Nano & Pico variants are well suited for low power devices like wireless sensors, wearable, E-health monitors, smart appliances, industrial monitoring, smart parking/lighting, remote asset monitoring, home automation etc, while the top of the line variants standard & Micro are full featured with applications in Building automation, smart home gateways etc. BoXPwrTM Standard and Micro are expected to be available soon.

These stacks are currently ported on leading chip-sets like Texas Instruments TI MSP430, ARM Cortex M0/3/4 and Intel Quark and supports OS platforms like Contiki, TinyOS,FreeRTOS, Linux and WindRiver. These stacks can be readily extended to other hardware platforms through our customization services.
