Mark Seagraves launches The Football Faktory™ in Goa

PANAJI, India - Oct. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Panaji, Goa: Tuesday 21 August, 2014.

The Football Faktory^TM announces the opening of a professional football coaching centre at the Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, Goa. The Football Faktory^TM is a football/soccer school designed to develop the personal and technical skills of the youth, with high quality coaching.

Having its head quarters in Delhi, The Football Faktory^TM has centres in New Delhi, and now Goa. Headed by Mark Seagraves, a former professional footballer and coach, the Football Faktory^TMaims to raise the standard of skills and technical ability of the youth in their quest to achieve football excellence. Our UEFA qualified coaches aim to develop Indian football from the ground up and leave no stone unturned to achieve this.

Mark Seagraves fell in love with football at a very early age and continued this love affair throughout his career, which has yet not come full circle. He played for and represented his school and progressed through the years to represent England in the Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19 tournaments. He developed as a professional footballer and went on to play professionally for Liverpool and Manchester City, among other top flight English clubs. Mark is also a fully qualified UEFA licensed coach and has successfully harnessed his coaching skills by coaching clubs like Derby County, Wigan Athletic and Blackpool in The English Premier League.

Speaking on our collaboration with Don Bosco Oratory, our co-founder Mark Seagraves states, “The centre in Goa will not only enhance the football techniques of Goa’s youth, but also develop their minds, bringing to fruition what surveys speak of a direct correlation between engaging students in sports and their development in education that helps promote a higher self esteem and lower dependence on anti-social behaviour.” A study conducted by the United Nations notes that increasing the time spent on physical education in schools improves the ability of some students to learn and retain information.

Supporting this, Fr. Ralin De Souza, Director, Don Bosco Oratory remarks, “We have been looking to develop our students in the proper art of football, with The Football Faktory^TM we know they will be coached in the right direction.”

The Football Faktory^TM aims to develop children from early childhood in playing the game with spirit and integrity, enabling them to reach their maximum potential and ultimately play at the biggest stages in football. While inculcating the spirit of football, The Football Faktory^TM also aims to develop the standards of coaching by employing fully qualified Indian nationals as part of the company’s core team thus creating employment opportunities for the youth of India.
