The Death Penalty for Smokers NOW

Oct. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- After bumming a cigarette from a colleague at the office and smoking it over small talk, I sit at my desk and write this post!

If I were Queen, I would choose death as the appropriate capital punishment for smoking. Oh yes, in all seriousness.

Ridiculous?

Ridiculous is actually finding smoking an acceptable habit. How did it ever become more than acceptable to hurt yourself, others, and the environment for NOT a single good reason?

You’re killing yourself slowly. I’ll be happy to spare you the journey.

I was once made to feel ashamed for being ‘a party pooper’. I got annoyed when people INSISTED on smoking around my infant. ‘I was negative.’ ‘There was enough circulation.’ ‘The ceiling was high!!!!!’

My son ended up in hospital due to a severe asthma attack at six months. It was totally my fault. I was complaisant.

I had the same stance before that day, before asthma. I would have chosen the death penalty for smoking even before then. I remember having that discussion. Back then it was for social, economic, health and environmental reasons.

Today it is for all that, as well as, my SON!
