GN Drilling Safety Equipments: Mud Gas Separator and Flare Igniter

LANGFANG, China - Oct. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Among all GN standard equipments, which are all painted in GN’s green color, 2 red colored ones seems very out-standing. They are painted in red because of their roles they play in a complete drilling solids control system (http://www.gnsolidsamerica.com/). They are used as safety control equipments.

Some detailed information, cited GN products as example:

1.        GNZYQ1000A Mud Gas Separator. Mud gas separator is always called gas-buster or poor-boy degasser, it is located on very first place of a solids control system and used to separate out the large volume of free gas contained in the drilling mud. Then the most possibly flammable gas is guided to flow in a line leading to the flare igniter far away from the drilling site. Then ignited as disposal without causing damage or danger.

GNZYQ1000A has a capacity of 200-280 cubic meters per hour, inlet dia is 4 inch while outlet dia is 10 inch, with vent line 8 inch of dia.

2.       GNYD200A and GNYD200A-T are 2 optional models of GN decanter centrifuge. The flare igniter is connected to the mud gas separator with the mud gas separator’s vent line, and it is used to dispose dangerous gas collected by the mud gas separator like H2S and etc. GNYD200A/A-T series flare igniter have following features:

Upper part of igniting system is made of stainless steel, and designed rain-proof.

2 charging method optional, electric charge from industry power source or solar energy charge.

Electric components of GNYD flare igniter are from Siemens or Schneider.

GN flare igniter is remote control and in case of less manpower, operator could choose PLC as optional for automatic control.
