Navico Strengthens Global Marketing Team

Lowrance, Simrad and B&G brands extend marketing capabilities

EGERSUND, Norway - Sept. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Navico, the world’s largest manufacturer of marine electronics and parent company to the Lowrance, Simrad and B&G brands, announces the strengthening of its global marketing team. With presence in over 100 countries worldwide, Navico brands span the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), Asia, Pacific and China (APAC) offering boaters a choice of the highest quality, innovative marine electronics, no matter where they are in the world.

Hot on the heels of adding APAC Marketing Director Gemma Le Mieux, to its talent pool at the beginning of 2014, Navico Global Marketing Director, Jonathon Pudney has recently engaged a number of top marketing professionals across the Navico global marketing centres.

In EMEA five new team members join the Marketing team. Simon Conder joins Navico as EMEA Marketing Director from TUI Travel, where he spent 8 years and had overall global brand responsibility for Sunsail, as well as UK and Ireland marketing responsibilities for the Moorings and Le Boat brands. Simon brings experience of the full on and offline marketing mix and in delivering multichannel marketing strategies across multiple markets and brands, as well as an in depth knowledge of the marine industry.

Ben Smith takes on the role of Trade Marketing Manager, joining the team from Regent Seven Seas Cruises, where he held the post of Trade Marketing Manager for the UK & Europe. Prior to this he spent 5 years working in marine electronics, as Trade Marketing Specialist. Lucy Nicholson joins as the Marcoms and Trade Marketing Manager bringing ten years of marine industry experience with her, having worked with a number of marine companies Including Premier Marinas and Camper & Nicolson.

Peter Cowell also joins the team as Product Marketing Executive, in an internal move from the Navico Product Management team. Whilst Ceri Mitchell joins Navico as Trade Marketing Executive, coming from a retail background, having worked in similar roles with companies such as B&Q.

In Global Brand management Jim Deheer adds the task of growing the range of Professional Simrad products to his role of Global Brand Director for B&G. Daren Cole is appointed to the role of Global Brand Director for Lowrance and Steve Mosinski Joins Navico from Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, as Global Marketing Manager for the Digital Business Division.

In the Americas region, Gordon Sprouse is appointed to the role of Regional Marketing Director for the Amercas.
