In addition, an open snack bar will be offering minimal charge refreshments.

According to Denise Pool, PYLGSA President, the Annual Fall Coaches Tournament was initiated a few years ago as a “get-acquainted and team building opportunity for managers and coaches, as well as a family fun event.”  Pool adds, “There will be music, food and the limitless entertainment that comes from watching the coaches of PYLGSA actually try to PLAY the game. Special Spirit Awards will be presented to the teams that show up and support their coaches with the most energy and creativity!”

Established in 1970, Placentia Yorba Linda Girls Softball Association (PYLGSA) is a fast pitch softball league for girls ages 5-18.  The PYLGSA won a State championship in 2008, as well as many district championships throughout the years, earning the group a reputation as one of Southern California’s most respected leagues.

“PYLGSA is about having fun and playing good, clean softball surrounded by friends,” states Michelle Hughes, PYLGSA Publicity Director, and whose daughter Payton is an active PYLGSA member.    “PYLGSA is a place where girls learn to play softball in a recreational environment and where good sportsmanship is encouraged by demonstrating support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice or other sporting events.  They learn the value of being an integral member of a team,” notes Hughes.

The league is governed by Southern California ASA and adheres to the rules and guidelines set forth by ASA/USA Softball.
