GF Machining Solutions and System Insights Partnership on Display at IMTS 2014

Sept. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Berkeley, CA, September 3, 2014 – System Insights, announced today that they have been selected by GF Machining Solutions (GFMS) to deliver its MTConnect and VIMANA software technology to their client base.  The joint solution will be on display at the GFMS (S-8754) and System Insight (E-4736) booths at IMTS 2014 in Chicago, September 8th through 13th.

GF Machining Solutions is the world’s leading provider of machines, automation solutions, and services to the tool and mold making industry as well as the manufacturers of precision components. Products range from electric discharge machines and high-performance milling machines to 3D laser surface texturing machines.  The Switzerland-based company maintains a presence in 50 sites worldwide. GF Machining Solutions belongs to the Georg Fischer Group (Switzerland).

Under the partner agreement, the companies will co-market System Insights MTConnect adapter technology and the VIMANA analytics platform with GFMS equipment.  Clients using this technology will be able to monitor equipment performance in real-time, track production efficiency, and take advantage of VIMANA’s downtime classification capabilities to optimize productivity.

Speaking about bringing MTConnect capabilities to GFMS equipment with Heidenhain controls, Athulan Vijayaraghavan, System Insights’ CTO, noted, “VIMANA Connect is the only solution that brings MTConnect support to machine tools that use Heidenhain-based controllers.
