Issue 3 of WCS News Addresses Value Proposition of Robust Warehouse Control Systems

Aug. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- The second issue of “WCS News” (a weekly e-newsletter) addressed the important aspects of managing the critical demands of distribution centers’ (DCs) fulfillment requirements. These include basic automation of manual processes and advanced automated material handling systems.  In the WCS webinar held in June, the value proposition of robust warehouse control systems (WCS) was thoroughly discussed including intelligent sortation logic, dynamic routing, inline scale interaction, data logging, and non-standard/seasonal operations capabilities.

WCS News also highlights the relationship between SKU count increases and space requirements. As SKU count increases, so does the space required to access (pick) them.
