July 15, 2014 - PRLog -- In baseball terms, Bavarian Inn Restaurant and Bavarian Inn Lodge (http://www.bavarianinn.com/)  in Frankenmuth just hit a triple in the Greatest of the Great Lakes Bay competition. Sponsored by Great Lakes Bay Regional Lifestyle Magazine, the annual contest relies on the votes of its readers and the general public to compile the annual list of local businesses that it considers “go above and beyond” in their efforts to garner “a loyal following of clientele.”

In the 2014 ranking, the Bavarian Inn Restaurant earned distinction for its “Kid-Friendly Atmosphere.” At the same time, its newest addition, the Michigan on Main Bar and Grill, was selected as a “must try” restaurant in the “Unique Menu” category. It was cited for its “dishes made using locally-sourced ingredients” that “diners can pair” with “a Michigan-made beer or glass of wine.” Its sister business, the nearby Bavarian Inn Lodge, was singled out in the “Out on the Town” category for its recently renovated Willy’s Kingdom indoor miniature golf.

“We are all very pleased to be recognized by our guests for both the Michigan on Main Bar and Grill menu and family-friendly restaurant atmosphere,” said Bill Zehnder, current Restaurant president and third generation owner. “Every day we focus on trying to exceed the expectations of our guests and it’s great to find out through this competition that they appreciate our efforts,” he continued.

Bavarian Inn Lodge president, founder and third generation owner Judy Zehnder expressed similar sentiments, “We pride ourselves on providing diverse indoor entertainment for all ages and it is gratifying to see that our miniature golf is a hit with our guests.”

Just recently announced, the Greatest of the Great Lakes Bay list is promoted in the July issue of the magazine and remains on its website until next year’s competition.
