Wage Filing launched a new initiative to help save 3 million forms from getting wasted and hitting the landfill. Each year every business in the US has to issue W-2 or 1099-MISC forms to its employees or contractors. The old way is going to the store to buy tax forms and envelopes, sometimes in quantities that exceed the amount needed to file. Since the forms are dated and can only be used for that reporting year they end up in the trash. The forms that are used are then mailed to the recipient, State and IRS/SSA. Once received by those entities they end up being scanned and discarded anyway. WageFiling started offering an alternative to paper filing 7 years ago and quickly grew within the small business community due to the time and money they saved users. Users simply enter their data online, instantly produce IRS approved recipient copies on plain paper or as a secure PDF and WageFiling electronically files to the IRS, State and SSA. There is no wasted forms, no more trips to the store and if paper is used it's only for the exact copies needed. In addition to reducing the amount of forms wasted, the company realized that with this service they could help forms from even having to be produced. Wage Filing is also donating 2% of sales from its Save 3 Million campaign to GBB.org in order to promote business sustainability.
