After knocking down his third pint Guinness, it was 10.40pm when George decided to walk home to his farm house cottage. The autumn weather was damp and windy, walking the twenty minute stroll, in an unlit country lane, required care.

The two hundred yards trek is something George was used to most evenings, after a few games of darts with his neighbourhood friends. As he got closer to his cottage, George heard few rustling noise and high-pitched shrieks.

These are normal rustles and bustles of the Autumn night with the drizzle and the chilly wind.

Suddenly, the noises became louder, and closer to George. Without any warning several Giant Black Rats jumped on to the side of Georges left leg. Frightened, George began to run toward his cottage. His Guinness did not help much as he fell into a side-ditch. Within seconds, dozens of Rats began tearing the flesh off arms, legs and the stomach of screaming George.

Edith was in the kitchen, making a usual cup of warm Ovaltine for George, whilst keeping an eye on the TV. By 11.30 Edith was getting concerned and ran Tony, the barman and owner of the Plough Inn, to find out if George is still with the boys.

Tony was more than surprised with the call and informed Edith that George left well before 11.00pm. Both were concerned about the safety and welfare of George and decided to call the local Police. Within a short while, the Police knocked on the Plough Inn closed door, and decided to drive the usual trek which George took to walk home.

As the Police car turned left towards the George's cottage, the two Policemen noticed George soaked in blood crawling on the grass verge, in pain, with several large Rats fighting with one another, carving into the stomach of George. Whilst radio-ing for an Ambulance and back-up, the Police alighted from the car, slowly towards the injured George.

The two back-up Police vans arrived with K-9 support of four Alsation canines, at the same time as the Ambulance. The howling and barking Alsations made the Rats scramble into the woods. When the paramedics reached George, they found parts of legs, stomach and the neck eaten by the Rats, and confirmed that George was savaged by Rats.
