BBI Solutions gets involved in Give & Gain Day 2014

LLANISHEN, Wales - May 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Following on from last year’s successful renovation of Stacey Road Primary School, Cardiff, the BBI Solutions (Cardiff) team of volunteers were once again hard at work, this time providing a much needed face lift to the internal and external changing and social areas, within the rugby club.

Rumney RFC is situated in the area of Llanrumney, on the outskirts of Cardiff. The rugby club is well used by the local and surrounding community and is run by a group of enthusiastic and hardworking volunteers; however it struggles financially to raise funds.

Speaking about BBI’s involvement, Eleanor Lindop, Culture and Performance Leader at BBI Solutions said:

“I’m delighted that BBI got involved in Give & Gain Day again this year.The BBI team gave the rugby club a much needed makeover to make areas brighter, cleaner and more attractive.

"BBI values it's links with the local community, so it is great to be giving something back in this way. Getting out of our normal work environment and working as a team is  a great way for our employees to learn new skills that they can take back to our workplace."

Give & Gain Day 2014 is the UK’s only national day of employee volunteering and is coordinated by Business in the Community, – the business-led charity that stands for responsible business. The day is a celebration of the power and potential of employee volunteering. Held on 16 May this year, Give & Gain Day saw 1,100 volunteers from 50 companies across Wales working on projects that can make a real difference to over 150,000 people’s lives.
