PRLog -- Representaives of Pro Golfer Lathan Atkinson have released a statement that Atkinson has been suspended from the Asian Golf Tour and has taken a leave of absence indefinitely for personal and unspecified reasons. Atkinson who resides in Atlanta, Georgia was considered to be one of the most exciting and up and coming golfers after a superb 2012 season. After turning Pro in the beginning of 2013, Atkinson has virtually been unseen and non-competitive since receiving his tour card. Details of his absence from golf have been quite a mystery after signing major sponsorship and endorsement deals with major golf and sports companies. Atkinson was scheduled to compete in the Australian PGA Tour for the 2014 season and rejoin the Asian Tour afterwards but after no-shows in both sanctioned tour events was finally suspended due to non play. No further details of his suspension are known and a Press Release is scheduled for early next week. Representatives of Atkinson claim that he might be rejoining the Tour at a later time this year.
