Will Dew takes Victory and 2nd with PS Racing in Pan Delta Circuit Hero Races

British driver Will Dew had an incredible debut last weekend in PS Racing, taking his Lotus to the winner’s circle in the Pan Delta Race Festival’s Circuit Hero events which featured live television and over 20,000 weekend fans in attendance.

In qualifying, Dew placed his Lotus Elise at a quick 1:49.2, fifth overall and 2^nd in class behind the Ariel Atom of Brian Lee. With a good starting position for Race One, the highlight of the race became the battle between Dew and Scott Wrayton in his supercharged Ginetta. When Wrayton later spun in Turn 7, Will Dew moved up to P3 overall and 1^st in class, before damage to the Lotus’ front splitter caused him to nurse the car home to the checkered, to enable a repass by Wrayton before the finish line. However, Will Dew was still able to hold on for the Class C Winner’s trophy, and finished P4 overall.

Race two brought more excitement to fans as Will Dew first battled with Lee Field in his Atom, both quickly dispatching a Mitsubishi Evo but with Dew eventually getting ahead of Field after drafting him into T1 for the pass. Dew then caught up to Scott Wrayton for another battle royale, this time, with Jon Flynn in the Radical joining the melee. With over ten overtakes between the three drivers on the very last lap, and all of them side by side through the last corner, they crossed the finish line three abreast: Flynn, Dew, Wrayton, earning Will Dew P2 in Class and P5 overall.

Will Dew of PS Racing now leads the Class C Roadsport championship with 18 points, ahead of Brian Lee’s 10 points and Lee Field’s 6 points, for an incredible start to the season.
