Blue Line Innovations Adds Industry Veterans to Management Team

Cleantech leader adds depth with experts in operations, customer service and technology
 
OTTAWA, Ontario - March 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Ottawa, ON–March 6, 2014 – Blue Line Innovations Inc., the leader in home energy monitoring solutions, today announced the expansion of its executive and management teams filling three positions, in its new Ottawa-based office. Blue  Line is powering up its team with the addition of Scott Newport to Director of Operations and the promotion of Gerry O’Brien to CTO, and  Michael Shea to Director of Customer Care.

Scott Newport – Director of Operations

Scott is an accomplished operations and supply chain executive bringing over 20 years of global operations experience across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Services and Support, Quality Systems, Program Management and Technical Operations. Scott’s expertise in global operations and process innovation will support Blue Line’s growing North American customer base. Prior to joining Blue Line, Scott was in a Senior Management role at Blackberry where he was responsible for Outgoing Product Quality. Prior to Blackberry, Scott served in executive roles at Alcatel - Lucent, BTI Systems, Accelight Networks, and also served in a number of lead engineering positions at Nortel.

Gerry O’Brien – Chief Technology Officer

Since joining Blue Line in 2006 Gerry has guided the company's product and technology direction.  While the core sensing design principles have remained consistent over the company’s ten-year history, getting great quality energy data to the cloud has unleashed a new array of robust customer tools and has enabled powerful analytic engines.  Throughout his long and varied career he has focused on designing and creating innovative product solutions with companies such as NetManage/Simware (Director Technology Alliances) Choreo Systems (Director of Technical Services) and Calcamar Inc. (President & CTO).

Michael Shea – Director of Customer Care

Michael joined Blue Line in 2013 and has led the advancement of the company’s customer experience focus. Driven by strong customer insight, significant enhancements have been introduced to simplify the installation experience and to provide a tool kit of support to help customers better understand their energy use and to eliminate waste.

Prior to joining Blue Line Innovations Michael spent the past 12 years in the financial Industry. His experience extends from managing sales teams at MBNA Canada, managing customer service and collections strategies at Bank of America, to marketing and relationship management at Assurant Solutions.
