Sahn Ward Coschignano & Baker, PLLC Names John Farrell and Adam H. Koblenz as Partners

March 4, 2014 - PRLog -- UNIONDALE, NY — Sahn Ward Coschignano & Baker, PLLC (http://www.swcblaw.com/) has announced that the Firm has promoted John Farrell and Adam H. Koblenz to Partners of the Firm. Mr. Farrell and Mr. Koblenz had previously served as Associates.

Mr. Farrell joined the Firm in 2010. He concentrates his practice in the areas of zoning and land use planning, environmental law, litigation and appeals, municipal law and legislative practice. He also serves as a member of the Town of Babylon Zoning Board of Appeals. Mr. Farrell works closely with Partner Chris J. Coschignano at the Firm in representing developers, property owners and franchisees in land use approval cases, municipal litigation and real estate transactions.

Before joining the Firm, Mr. Farrell was associated with several prominent Long Island law firms. Prior to those associations, he was an Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of Babylon, where he served as counsel to the Town’s Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Board. He also acted as lead prosecutor for zoning violations in the town.

He is admitted to practice in New York State and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University and his Juris Doctor from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. In 2013, Touro honored him with the Public Interest Attorney of the Year award. He also serves as a Board Member of Touro Law School’s Land Use & Sustainable Development Law Institute.

Mr. Koblenz concentrates his practice in the areas of litigation and appeals and labor and employment law. He has represented major corporations, municipalities, businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals in complex commercial and corporate litigation, insurance fraud actions, employment and labor law matters involving claims of discrimination, wage and hour violations, as well as partnership and real estate disputes. In addition to his duties at the Firm, he serves as a Village Prosecutor for the Village of East Hills.

In 2013, Mr. Koblenz was selected for the New York Metro Super Lawyers’ “Rising Stars”list in the General Litigation practice area. Also, in 2013, he received Long Island Business News’ Leadership in Law Award in the category of Law Firm Associate.

Mr. Koblenz is an important part of the Firm’s litigation practice group, working closely with Partner Jon A. Ward on sophisticated and complex litigation matters. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and New Jersey, and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He is a graduate of Brandeis University and The George Washington University Law School.
