To The Power of Mom! Nominations are now open for the 2014 Mompreneur® Award of Excellence

TORONTO - Feb. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- It’s that time again, to nominate those women who  juggle motherhood, entrepreneurship and business, and who are forging a path to success for themselves, their families and their communities. The Mompreneur®  will be hosting their second annual National Conference, inviting members from across the country to come together to learn, support and celebrate their growth and success.  Capping off the conference will be their annual awards gala where members will celebrate the 12 finalists and announce the winner of the The 2014 Mompreneur® Award of Excellence.

The Mompreneur®, SavvyMom Media and Parents Canada magazine, along with conference presenting sponsor SAGE have partnered to recognize and reward the country’s top Mompreneur® with a prize package valued at over $35,000.  Keynote Arlene Dickinson will take the stage to inspire and empower fellow entrepreneurial women with her steps to success.

Designed to drive the winning mompreneur’s business forward to further success, Maria Locker, Founder and CEO of The Mompreneur® is ecstatic about the response and excitement they’ve been getting to the award, and the number of nominations coming through. “It has always been my goal to create an organization that would recognize and advocate for women in business, especially moms, in a collaborative and supportive way.” says Maria, “This award gives women a platform to share their stories, their successes and a venue to seek guidance in order to accelerate their business growth, and do so in a much more marketable way”.

All Canadians are encouraged to nominate and vote for their favorite moms in business. Voting closes on Sunday March 2^nd. This year in addition to the Top 10 most voted for entries, there will be two wildcard finalists, chosen exclusively by the judging panel, to enter the final round of judging. The winner will be announced at the Annual Mompreneur® Conference & Awards Gala on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre (http://sheratontorontoairport.com) , 801 Dixon Rd., Toronto ON.
