Follow on Google News | Artist MK Ultra releases video for hit single “Killing Angels”By: Substance Co. The video was shot in the California desert using effects that echoed the feeling of drug-addled despair that Szendrei had experienced in the wake of the accident. Pills, guns and death are central thematic motifs in the “Killing Angels” video. MK Ultra, named for the CIA mind control experiment, sets the dark and catchy song to a bleak backdrop. Other elements of the video include haunting violin melodies, aggressive vocals and time manipulation. Originally posted on YouTube, the video gained tens of thousands of views before being taken down due to complaints about the violent imagery portrayed. “All the imagery used in the video was there for a reason. It wasn’t meant to offend anyone, but it’s understandable that someone who didn’t know my story could take things the wrong way. Regardless of public opinion, I consider it a portrayal of how I was feeling, feeling being the operative word here. It was purely art. I certainly don’t go around carrying a gun, but for the purposes of self expression I needed to use some rather extreme imagery” says Szendrei. YouTube eventually allowed the video to be re-posted, after being contacted by Visionary Music and fans of “Documentation” The video can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/ For more on MK Ultra visit www.mkultramusic.net or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ For PR contact Morgan at substanceco.pr@ End
