Both Buyers and Suppliers will benefit from Buyers’ new ability to pause, instead of canceling or rescheduling a reverse auction when needed. In many cases, new information, circumstances, or Supplier questions arise, requiring the auction to be placed on hold. When Buyers are able to release the event again, the time that the event was paused will automatically append itself to the end time of the event, so that the full bidding time allotment is maintained, as well as all information already captured that relates to that reverse auction.

Additionally, Buyers can now easily communicate with Suppliers through blast messages and invitations to participate in an RFx, and automatically communicate with all of the suppliers participating in an RFX event at once.

For Suppliers and vendor companies, WhyAbe’s new features allow them to gain further exposure for their businesses. Now that Buyers can conduct detailed catalog searches, Suppliers have a better incentive to fully populate and customize their items and service catalog. Rather than restricting Suppliers into pre-defined categories, WhyAbe’ registered Suppliers are able to register using their own terminology that is appropriate in their specific industry.
