By clearly making a distinction between traditional and contemporary way of building SEO pages, Mr. Fishkin has suggested that we don't need to pave focus quite so intently on different keywords and should provide information that might be fruitful to users.

In its latest release, Mr. Fishkin said that traditional technique of building SEO pages for keywords can be a little problematic because it clearly means that we are ignoring other things, like content marketing, email marketing, social marketing, etc., which in turn can hamper the digital marketing progress of the online brand. Therefore, it is always worthwhile to shift to the contemporary model, where SEO is all about performance of search traffic across the website and it is all about the broad performance of the web pages receiving search visits. So, it means when you look at a given set of pages and look at content areas then you will say, “The visits that are coming from google or bing, are performing at an optimum quality and therefore, it is good to invest more in SEO”, instead of saying, “This keyword set is giving me a good traffic”. He said that now web masters can optimize for things that are somewhere different than what they've done in the past, like, now optimizing the opportunity for amplification. The amplification could come from links, which in turn can come from social media, email marketing, word-of-mouth, etc. However, this is the impressive way to earn those signals that are correlated with website rankings.
