What To Do To Write A GUEST POST and get ‘APPROVED’…YAH!

So, you’re either a new blogger or a blogger that is looking for some new answers.

And the question is , “What to do to write a Guest Post” on a high authority blogging site?

I know for me as a blogger, I have made blogging mistakes that I wished I hadn’t…

I’m sure we all have, that’s why I’m writing this post, to help you get approved when you ask to write a ‘guest post’.

Bloggers are merely human which means we tend to frequently make mistakes.

Which is all good, only if we learn from them and fix them, right?

We bloggers are human, and we often tend to make mistakes, which is absolutely normal.

As I look at mistakes, personally, I see them as my success stepping stones!

Yes, in fact, all mistakes in life are our stepping stones to success, IF we learn from them…

I realize that blogging is not just writing a simple post, it’s writing a valuable post whereas it helps others.

That’s what blogging is for me anyway ;)

So, let’s get rollin’ on how to get approval on your guest post, shall we…

I’ll assume you already have your own personal blog. So, we can start with that….LOL

Now, the most important aspects you need to be able to get approval for guest posting are as follows.

Most Important Aspect of Guest Posting is VALUE.
Okay, I know this just makes sense to have value on your blog, however, some don’t get this! Believe it or not…

Writing content that is valuable is, well written, grammatically correct (you’d be surprised on this one), and always and I mean always be YOU.

What I mean by being ‘you’ is don’t try to be someone else, add YOUR personality, add your passion and what YOU want your blog to be about.

Then you’ll attract the readers that relate to you, not someone you’re trying to be”like”, you know what I’m sayin’?

You are special just as you are, so put down your passions on your blog posts and your personality.

What I find also is that value is also about ‘Giving Back’.

That is something my Mama always told me and still does, the more you give to others, the more you will receive!

So, write your posts with your audience in mind, what would they like to read? What would they like to learn? What can YOU do to help them?

Another Important Aspect of Guest Posting is Replying To Your Blog’s Comments.
This is so important you guys and gals out there.

I actually learned this one early on, thanks to one of my mentors, Brad Campbell.

At the end of each and every blog post you write, add a question for your readers to get them engaged!

That way they’ll ‘feel’ a part of and will leave you either a question or a comment.

Now, this is the important part, ANSWER THEM BACK!

Always reply to your comments, always, always, always……can I say that one more time…LOL

It is that important, please get this.

Even when you are commenting on another blogger’s site and you leave a comment and someone replies back to you, ANSWER THEM BACK!

Guys and Gals, that’s how we build relationships with our readers and other bloggers!

Another Aspect is to Follow Their Guidelines.
Again, this seems so logical and pretty much common sense, however, a large percentage of people do not follow the guidelines to get approved.

I’ve heard from quite a few blog owner’s that the number one reason they do not approve of some guest posting, is due to the fact they do not follow the simple directions given to them by the owner.

Simply put, follow the guidelines/directions that the blog owner asks of you when submitting your guest post.

Follow it to the “t”…

There’s really not much more to say on this, it’s that simple…follow directions before submitting your guest post.

Here’s Another One, Do Not Fill Your Post With Affiliate Links.
Usually, I have one or two affiliate links in my blog posts, however, when writing for a guest post, I always take them out.

The guidelines will usually let you know that they do not want affiliate links, however, I just do it anyway.

The reason for this is, guest posting is about adding value to the owner’s blog site, not about linking to pitchy sales pages.

So, get rid of the affiliate links and simply write content on your subject with value…

Also, Write Your Post With at Least 750 words or more.
This might sound like too many words for ya, however, believe me, if you are writing content with ‘value’ there are going to be many words.

This 300 word blog post stuff is for the birds…

That’s like a darn squeeze page, ya know what I’m sayin’?

Take a look at all the high authority blogs and look for yourself how many words are in their posts?

Google likes ‘words’!

You want high page ranking, right, well than follow the King Google’s way of writing posts…Yes, the ‘Big G’ is King!

Lastly, Stay Consistent and Committed on Your Own Blog
Believe me, when you ask to write a guest post on another blogger’s site, 10 out of 10 times, the very first thing they will do is go to YOUR blog site and read your posts.

Listen, no one expects perfection! What they do expect, as you would too, is to see if you consistently write and if you’re truly committed to your own blog.

I know for me, blogging is my true love, so I enjoy writing consistently.

I enjoy being committed to my blogging also. It took me years to find my passion and now I feel so fortunate to be able to embrace it, let alone make money from my blog.

I mean really, that’s my dream come true!
