Haymaker-Short Film That Packs a Punch

This film Haymaker is a short film about a boy who has been going down the wrong path in life. He finds himself and his pride hurt on the asphalt when he attempts to steal a boxer’s car. The film is about using boxing as a tool to overcome his lifestyle and his apathy towards his less than stellar aspirations in life.

This short film packs a punch and is extremely inspirational because sports in general are an outlet to overcome a harsher reality. It becomes a sanctuary and a place of building and conditioning for life. The values presented in boxing and how useful they are in life shows through this film and it teaches the viewers with enough will and work you can overcome a hurdle and better yourself.

Through the sport of boxing Davis finds the way to take life’s hits and go the distance in order to overcome his opponents. David is beat down countless times and struggles to stay in the game, but through his will and desire to prove himself, he keeps going. This film is a heavy weight and is truly one to watch.
